Anise cookies have been my favorite since childhood!! I don’t normally buy or make them because I’m the only one who loves licorice and I’d eat them all in due time! HOWEVER every recipe I’ve used has been top notch so I made these and I must say they are excellent! I did add an extra tsp of anise oil for my taste. they were so quick and easy to make!!! thanks for another top notch recipe!!!

Hi Colleen! These cookies are hearty, not chewy, almost biscuit like in texture. 🙂

Whoops! I’ve definitely had that happen before. Frustrating, but if it’s the right extract my drawer smells good for quite a while. 🤣

So, I need to get some so that I can make these.

Hi Antranette! I recommend the amount listed, but you can absolutely use less, that would just be according to your preference and how much you like anise.

Hi Nicolette! I would scoop the dough balls first and then freeze, I have instructions on how to do so on my post on how to freeze cookie dough. I hope that helps!
